Open House:

The TIS campus will be open for families to meet teachers and staff and learn about the educational programs.   Presentations on the International Baccalaureate curriculum will be given periodically during the event.  No registration is necessary.

This is an opportunity to experience school at TIS and the International Baccalaureate curriculum first-hand.  Parents and students attend a portion of the day taught by each of the TIS kindergarten teachers.    This event is recommended for a parent and their prospective kindergarten student.  The students will be engaged in actual IB lessons and activities typical to a TIS kindergarten classroom.  Participants should plan to stay for the duration of the event.  Space is limited. Please call to reserve your spot for one of our 3 available dates.

6th Grade Preview Day:

Friday March 31, 2017 8 AM – 3:30 PM

This is a special event for 5th grade students (only) who are considering the TIS  International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.  Students are invited to attend this day in the 6th grade schedule, called: Day in the Life of an MYP Student.  Students will move between classes, and spend time in each of the 8 International Baccalaureate subjects: Math, Science, Language and Literature, Individuals and Socities, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Physical and Health Education, Spanish Language Acquisition, and International Baccalaureate Design.  The students will also learn about the TIS Advisory program.  The Advisory program is a weekly meeting in small groups of students with a designated TIS teacher or staff member to develop important life skills in areas such as good study habits, time management, leadership, the IB Learner Profile, and team-building.  Parents may tour the campus at 9:15 AM or 2 PM and can attend a short parents meeting at 2:30 PM.
