New Student Enrollment

Enrollment in public charter schools is first come first served for available seats. Admissions are accepted through an ongoing enrollment.  Once the enrollment exceeds available seats, then a waiting list is started and students are placed on the list by lottery.  TIS conducts monthly lotteries beginning in February.  Students that have completed an enrollment form by the date of each lottery will be placed in classes or on waiting lists.  Once the lottery is completed, the student is not subject to any subsequent lottery. Their position on the waiting list is set until they move up the list or withdraw their enrollment.

The enrollment lotteries for the 2017-2018 school year will be held on the following dates.  Applications submitted prior to 3:30 PM on the date of the lottery will be placed in a class or on a waiting list with that lottery.  After the last lottery, students will be placed on waiting lists or in classes on first come first serve basis for the next school year.

Fill out the 2017-2018 enrollment form below and turn it in via email, fax, mail or in person to the TIS office by 3:30 on the date of a lottery to be included. Once a student has been placed in a class or waiting list the position is a secure and they are not part of further lotteries.

Families will be notified by phone and e-mail of their placement in a class or waiting list within a week of the lottery date.  After receiving placement in a class, families must register their student or decline the spot within 3 weeks of notification.

New Student Registration

Registration is completed after placement through the enrollment process.  These forms are updated each year with continuing enrollment to ensure that all information is current on each student.  New students will be asked to register within 3 weeks of placement for classes with a waiting list and by June 1st for classes without a waiting list.  Registration requires all of the forms linked here.

Please note that according to state law, all students must be in compliance with state immunization requirements, be in the process of receiving the immunization series, or meet exemption criteria before starting school. Exemptions are permitted for medical reasons or due to the conscientiously held beliefs of the parent/guardian. Proof of exemption must be provided in lieu of immunization to be allowed to register/enroll.
